This year I am participating in the Chronicle Books Happy Haul-idays contest.
It's wonderful, you can enter to win $500 worth of books from one of the best publishing houses! To enter, all I have to do is post my book wish list and designate a charity, in my case, the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The bonus for you is that by commenting on this post, if I win a randomly selected commenter will also win the same list of books. Free. So let me know what you think about my choices or what book do you wish was on the list.
Here is my list of Chronicle books that I would buy with $500:
- Pattern Magic: Laurence King Publishing
- Pattern Magic 2: Laurence King Publishing
- Pattern Making
- Fabric for Fashion: The Swatch Book Laurence King Publishing
- Instant Gratification: Jewelry: Fast & Fabulous Projects
- Knit Knack Kit: Simple Instructions and Tools for 25 Terrific Knitting Projects
- Denyse Schmidt Quilts: 30 Colorful Quilt and Patchwork Projects
- Saul Bass: A Life in Film and Design
- Between the Bridge and the River
- The Art of Pixar: The Complete Color Scripts and Select Art from 25 Years of Animation
- Art of the Modern Movie Poster: International Postwar Style and Design
- Winerd: The Wine Tasting Game that Crushes Grape Fears
Lurked here but am coming out of the shadows...love your site AND your book selections. Would be thrilled to win. Regards...Teresa
ReplyDeleteWhen you posted about the vintage sewing books I had the better homes one in my library but then couldn't find the blog I saw the post on! Glad you got your own copy. Loved your list and it would be a merry ole Christmas to win that haul.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the contest. I certainly wouldn't mind winning along with you. I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteI think Pattern Making is going to be on many wishlists this year. It is definitely on mine. I really like the quilt book and had never seen that one before. Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteGreat list... most of these are actually Laurence King titles, not Chronicle. I think Chronicle sells their books in the States.
ReplyDeleteI like your selection of books... lots of interesting but the ones I am fascinated with are the Pattern Magic ones ... good luck to you winning!
ReplyDeleteyou have some lovely picks. good luck to you! my list is below if you'd like to comment as well.

So I'm drooling over the textile books here (I decided to be generous and add books for my kids and grandbebes to my list, but .. sigh .. the sacrifices we make when spending imaginary dollars on lovely books!) Great list! Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat selection!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and happy holidays!
You got me at "Winerd" ..the title even makes me laugh. Perfect for my son-in-law.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you love spending play money? ;D
So good luck to both of us on this thing.

Neat picks! I'm having as much fun seeing what everyone else picked as I did making my own blog list!
