The pattern instructions are written in English, German, Dutch, and French and seam allowances are not included on the patterns. You may order individual patterns for $7 each or in a group of three for $18 with free world-wide shipping. The individual Image Wear patterns seem to be a fairly recent venture because they only have nine patterns: six for women and three for girls.

You can order the patterns and/or magazines from their website or order the magazine in North America from online store Sew Baby. Each magazine includes 16 patterns and cost $7. If you bought three envelope patterns and one magazine it would only cost you $24 plus $3.95 shipping for the magazine, as the patterns are always shipped free. Most unbelievably, their stated shipping time from the Netherlands to US/Canada is only 4-8 days!
So, what do you think of them?
Oooh, thanks for this info.
ReplyDeleteWow, never heard of this! Thanks for the links!
ReplyDeletelove that blouse, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI really like them and have been on their mailing list for about a year but i haven't bought any yet. I missed the special they had at Christmas for free shipping and patterns at 2.99 euro! I was so annoyed with myself - the money also went to the charity they supported - double annoyed! I like them all but I particularly like the top.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered their latest issue and it's coming with a free pattern. What a deal, huh? I can't wait until it shows up. My goal is to make at least one garment soon after it shows up just to give them a try... then I'll post a blog entry. The few reviews on PatternReview.com seem to say the directions aren't the best but the patterns are pretty good. We'll see! Do yo have any?
ReplyDeleteI have made a jacket from one of the magazines and have some of the patterns shown above, which I have not made. Like Burda the instructions are translated and aren't always clear. The jacket I made was very closely fitted, in other words it had less ease than similar Burda and Vogue patterns. Now I will check finished pattern measurements before cutting them out. Their website has links to bloggers' reviews of their patterns. I found the reviews very helpful.
ReplyDeleteLots of great information, thank you!
