So, This Happened...

I am fine, but my car sure isn't. My poor sixteen year-old Honda, the first car that I ever bought now in my first ever car accident. Good times, good times...

On my way to work, hit by a car going through a red light, luckily he only hit the front because otherwise, he would have rammed into the driver side and me.

Taking some ibuprofen and going to sleep now.

UPDATE: In rental car (sweet!), his insurance accepted liability, and now just waiting on an estimate of the damage.

  1. I know the feeling. My fifteen year old Honda Accord LX was swiped on the front bumper driver's side. The car kept going after hitting me pulling my front bumper off completely and dragging it down the street with them for a little ways before stopping. Some howoranother the hood of my car contracted messing up the hood in the process. I had to boogie cord it together to keep the hood from flying up in my face cause I had to still drive it for 5 months before I could afford to get another car. I was traumatized to say the least. On top of it all the other driver was pals with the attending policeman and I mind you I got the ticket. I was planning on driving that car for at least another 10 years (he he) and because of the ticket got increased insurance rates for three years. Any way, I'm so glad you were not hurt.

  7. Glad to hear you were not hurt, though it can still be stressful and upsetting. Honda's are such dependable cars. Patch her up and she many have quite a few more years.
