I originally wanted an easy project, one I didn't have to worry about choosing the right size pattern, or altering the pattern tissue, or any other strange fitting alterations. But when looking at all those options in that mosaic I started thinking that the Built By Wendy pattern might be too plain for a solid colored fabric. So now I'm thinking of working a bit harder and using one of these from my pattern stash. I've only made one of these before (McCall's 8154) and I was a smaller size then, so there will be altering.
So, what do you think, which one below should I make out of the sunshine yellow cotton sheet?
Simplicity 3835Gathered neckline of top with sleeves and length of the blue one?
McCall's 3133View D: sleeveless number with pockets and cool seaming detail?
Simplicity 4429View 1: with the self-tie belt and the pocket?
McCall's 8154View A: with the V-neck and sleeves?

If it were me, I'd do 4429, as that dress will look elegant in a solid color and it needs the stiffness that comes with a sheet.
I second the motion. First thing that came to my mind when associating a sheet with a pattern: chic sobriety.
4429, agreed. You could really play the solid fabric up with ribbon and trim as well.
I have the S3835 and I just so happen to have made it in a sunny yellow fabric... I made a combo top (with the elasticized neck and the long sleeves with the oblong ties) Got tons of compliments on both the color and the sleeve accents.
